It is an eggless cake made with rava or sooji and can be made in pressure cooker. The heart shaped cake will sure to put smile on your Valentine.


Ingredients

Rava or sooji - 1.5 cup Melted butter - 1/2 cup Yogurt - 1/2 cup Sugar - 1 cup ( powdered ) Skimmed milk - 1 cup Baking powder - 1/2 tsp Baking soda - 1/3 tsp Green cardamom powder - 1/3 tsp Salt - a pinch Mixed dry fruits - 1/3 cup Tutti frutti -- 1/2 cup

Step By Step Method

  • 1. In a mixing bowl, add rava,salt, sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well. 2. Beat yogurt. 3.Add melted butter and beaten yogurt and mix well with a spoon. 4.Add just 1/2 cup of milk to make a thick batter. Keep the remaining milk for later use. 5. Cover the batter and leave it for 15 minutes. 6. In the mean time, take a pressure cooker remove the whistle and gasket. Pour 2 glasses of water in it. Place a stand inside the cooker and let the pressure cooker heat on a low flame. 7. After 15 minutes, stir the batter once more. Add the remaining milk .Mix it well till smooth. 8. Add little dry fruits and tutti fruitti. Mix well in the batter. 9. Add baking soda and baking powder to the batter. Give it a nice mix. 10. Grease the cake tin with butter. Sprinkle dry fruits and tutti fruitti on the base of cake tin. 11. Pour the batter in the cake tin.Tap the cake tin gently to make the batter level even. 12. Sprinkle dry fruits and tutti fruitti on the top of the cake. 13. Gently place the cake tin in the cooker. Cook on a low flame for 20 minutes at first and then cook on a medium flame for 7 minutes. In between the open the cooker and check the cake. Take a toothpick and insert it. If it comes clean , then cook it for 1 more minute on high flame. 14. Switch off the flame. Open till it cools down. 15. Run a knife around its edges. Take a plate and flip it on it. 16. TUTTI FRUTTI RAVA CAKE is ready to be served,.
