Hilsa fish 2 pieces Lemon juice 1 tsp Salt tastewise Lemon zest ½ tsp Turmeric powder 1 tbsp Mustard oil 2 tbsp Green chillies 2 Mustard paste 2 tbsp Curd 1 ½ tbsp

Step By Step Method

  • Wash the fishes properly and marinate with lime juice for 5 minutes. Make a thick paste by using mustard and curd. Keep it aside. Heat oil in the pan. Add the chillies. Add the paste. Add turmeric. Add salt. Stir continuously. Add water as required from outside. Cook in low flame. Lastly add the marinated fish in gravy. Let the fish cook till it soft. Switch off the flame. Sprinkle lemon zest and cover it with a lid for 5 minutes. Serve with Steamed rice.
