It's a shallow fried squid stuffed with minced meat or goat blood cooked with various other ingredients. If goat blood is not permitted I would use only minced mutton. Served with mint chutney.


Squid, minced meat or goat blood, boiled potatoes, ginger garlic paste, shallouts or big onions, green chilly, garam masalapowder,tomatoes, lemon juice, chilly powder, coriander powder, ghee or butter, grated coconut, powdered cashew, salt, sugar, turmeric powder, pepper powder ,coconut oil, rice powder. Mint leaves , coriander leaves, curd, onion, turmerind, curry leaves, ginger, garlic.

Step By Step Method

  • For making the minced meat or goat blood masala Heat coconut oil in a pan when the oil is hot add ger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell leaves after that add thinly sliced onion or shallouts and saute till it becomes translucent add lil salt so that it cooks faster, add chilly powder turmeric powder coriander powder n cook till the raw smell leaves now add finely chopped tomatoes green chillies and cook well after that add minced meat or washed and scrambled goat blood and mix it and cook till it is done. Add salt as per taste and grated coconut and powdered cashew and mix it well....once it is done sprinkle pepper powder finely chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves. Few drops of lemon juice if required. And switch off the flame. Now stuff the above masala inside the cleaned and washed squid... in a bowl take a table spoon of rice flour and add lil water to it n mix well...coat the stuffed squid and shallow fry it in ghee or butter. Mint chutney Heat oil in a pan add all the ingredients and saute till it is done...finally add lil salt to it and grind it with required water..
