1 cup of gram flour

1 big onion finely chopped

2 finely chopped green chilies

2 tablespoons of freshly cut coriander leaves

2 tablespoons of freshly cut mint leaves

¼ teaspoon of baking powder

Salt to taste

½ teaspoon of chili powder

¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder

½ teaspoon of coriander powder

½ teaspoon of cumin powder

Oil to deep fry

Water as required



Step By Step Method

  • Mix all the ingredients together with very little water to form a thick consistency. Heat the oil in a kadai, take small portions from the mixture and drop gently one by one into the hot oil and deep fry till golden brown. Drain on an absorbent kitchen towel and serve hot with spicy mint chutney.
