4 medium sized onions thinly sliced.

2 green chillies finely diced.

4 tablespoons of finely chopped fresh coriander.

½ tablespoon of whole coriander seeds.

A pinch of carom seeds

Salt to taste.

2 tablespoons of oil.

1 tablespoon of water.

1 cup of gram flour.

¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder.



1 cup (To measure the gram flour)

1 tablespoon

1 teaspoon

1 large mixing bowl (to mix the ingredients)

1 silicone brush to coat the frying basket and tray with oil.

1 cutting board

1 knife

Step By Step Method

    1. The finely diced onions are mixed with salt and kept aside in the bowl for around 15 minutes.

    2. Preheat the AirFryer at 180 degrees for 3 minutes.

    3. Now mix in the remaining ingredients along with the onions, except the tablespoon of water. Only if it seems dry, then mix in the water to get the wetness in the mixture.

    4. The frying basket is placed on the tray and coated with oil using the silicone brush.

    5. Now medium sized dumplings of the onion gram flour mixture are placed one by one in the frying basket.

    6. Ensure some space is left between the dumplings to get an even circulation of the hot air.

    7. The frying basket with the tray is placed within the Multi-utility Air-Fryer and set on the “Samosa” preset cooking option.

    8. At the end of 20 minutes, you would see the golden brown coloured pakodas all ready.

    9. If you would still like them more crispy, you could set the timer for another 2 minutes and let it cook further.
