Falooda is a dessert that is fondly enjoyed by all. With the fresh seasonal mangoes around, now it is time for a royal treat with mango pulp and ice cream in the falooda. Let’s check out how this is made!


2 teaspoons of falooda or sweet basil seeds, soaked in water for 30 minutes and drained.

⅓ cup of falooda sev(cook in boiling water for 4-5 minutes and wash with cold running water)

1 cup of milk

2 tablespoons of sugar

½ cup of fresh mango puree

½ cup of chopped pieces of mango

2 scoops of mango or vanilla ice cream

Step By Step Method

  • Blend in the sugar and milk well and set aside in the fridge to maintain it chilled. Take a large cup or a transparent mug. Place a couple of spoonfuls of falooda seeds in the mug. Add a spoonful of boiled falooda sev over it. Now add 2 tablespoons of mango pulp. Over it add a few chopped mango pieces. Repeat these layers till the layer of mango pulp. Now pour in ½ a cup of milk. Add a scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream. Garnish with a few cut mango pieces and garnish with mint leaves and serve. Just stir lightly with a spoon when you relish this treat to savour a mix of all the ingredients with every bite.
