These are pancakes dipped in sugar syrup.

250 grams plain sifted flour

1 tablespoon of powdered sugar

Some water

For the sugar syrup

625 millilitres of water

500 grams of sugar

For the Garnish

Sweetened fresh cream

Rose water

¼ teaspoon of ground cardamom

Kadai, Spoon, Bowl

Step By Step Method

  • The sugar syrup is prepared by boiling the water and sugar together and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes. This allows it to thicken.

The plain flour, water, and sugar are combined together to get a medium thickness batter. This is kept aside for 30 minutes. Heat a greased flat bottomed pan, spread some of this batter into a pancake and let it cook nicely on both the sides till golden brown. Now dip this into the sugar syrup and serve it garnished with rose water, fresh cream and cardamom powder.
