Corn Flour [Makke ka atta aka Maize Flour]
Lukewarm water as required
Carom Seeds [Ajwain]
Salt as per taste
Ghee or Oil


Step By Step Method

  • - Mix 2 cups of corn flour, carom seeds and salt as per taste.
    - Make a smooth dough with lukewarm water.
    - Cover the dough and keep it aside for a few minutes.
    - Knead it again and make small lemon sized balls from the dough.
    - Roll the small doughs and flatten it.
    - Heat the tawa and gently place the makke ki roti on the tawa.
    - Cook it thoroughly. Apply ghee and cook both the sides until the roti puffs.
    - Serve it hot with Sarso da saag and jaggery cubes.
