Savour every drop of this tea infused with the richness of herbs during the monsoons.


  • 4 cups of Water
  • 3-4 teaspoons of Tea Leaves
  • ¾ cup of Milk ( add more according to taste)
  • 1 inch of Ginger
  • 2-3 Cardamoms
  • 3-4 Holy Basil Leaves
  • 3-4 Mint Leaves
  • 1 strand of Lemon Grass
  • Sugar as per taste

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1

    Crush the ginger and cardamom in a mortar and pestle(okhli). Boil the water in a pan.

    Step 2

    Add the crushed ginger and cardamoms to it. Next introduce the lemon grass.

    Step 3

    Now add the mint and basil leaves.

    Step 4

    Let the herbal mixture boil to a good 7-8 minutes, till the water gets a beautiful yellowish hue.

    Step 5

    Now add the sugar and let it simmer further for a couple of minutes.

    Step 6

    Add the tea leaves and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.

    Step 7

    Next add the milk and further simmer for 2-3 minutes.

    Step 8

    Your herbal tea is ready now. Strain it into cups to savour the richness of the herbs.
