This is typical Adai dosa with a twist by using only Coconut.


Idli rice 2 cups soaked for 2 hours Coconut 1 medium size Saunf 1tsp Cumin 2 tsp Dry red chilli as per your taste Hing a little Turmeric powder 1 tsp Salt Curry leaves Corriander leaves Onion 4 chopped finely

Step By Step Method

  • Method: In a mixie jar grind coconut, red chilli, saunf and cumin to a smooth paste. Grind the rice in a grinder, when half done mix the coconut paste along and let it grind to a not so coarse but not too smooth batter. Now transfer the batter to a bowl, add turmeric powder Hing to them. Add curry and coriander leaves finely chopped and onions too Add salt before making the dosa. The batter shouldn't ferment, let the batter sit for 30 minutes after adding all the ingredients and then make dosa. This dosa can be had plainly or along with coconut chutney.
