Ingredients for the Marinade

  • ¾ kilograms of medium sized cut chicken
  • ¾ teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • ¾ teaspoon of Garam Masala
  • ¾ teaspoon of Cinnamon Powder
  • 4 tablespoons of Yogurt
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for the Coconut Masala (Dry roast and grind into a smooth paste with the ginger and garlic paste)

  • ¾ cup of grated Coconut
  • ¾ teaspoon of Coriander Seeds
  • ½ teaspoon of Cumin Seeds
  • ¾ teaspoon of Fennel seeds
  • 4-5 Dry Red Chillies
  • 1 tablespoon of Ginger Paste
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of Garlic Paste

Ingredients for the Chicken Fry

  • Cooking Oil to fry the Chicken
  • ½ teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • 2 teaspoons of Malvani Masala
  • 1 finely chopped Onion

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1

    Marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric powder, garam masala, cinnamon powder, salt and yogurt for at least one hour. Overnight marination is preferred.

    Step 2

    Heat cooking oil in a fry pan, fry the finely chopped onion till translucent.

    Step 3

    Then add the ground masala paste, turmeric powder, malvani masala and saute till the oil separates out.

    Step 4

    Now add the marinated chicken and cook it covered under low and medium flame till crispy.
