  • 1 ½ cups of All Purpose Flour
  • ⅔ cup of Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ cup of Chocolate Chips
  • ¼ cup of Milk
  • ¾ cup of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup of Unsalted Melted Butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 1 cup Mashed Bananas

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1

    Grease and flour dust a 9x13 inch cake pan.

    Step 2

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.

    Step 3

    Take a mixing bowl and combine sugar, salt, baking powder and all purpose flour.

    Step 4

    In another bowl, blend together uniformly egg, bananas, melted butter and milk.

    Step 5

    Now combine the contents of these 2 bowls together, such that they are uniformly mixed but not over mixed.

    Step 6

    Stir in the chocolate chips into this mixture.

    Step 7

    Pour this batter into the pan and introduce it into the preheated oven.

    Step 8

    Bake this at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes.

    Step 9

    Insert a toothpick within the baked cake and check if it is coming out clean without any crumbs attached to it. This is a sign of a completely baked cake. A light banana cake with heavenly chocolate chips is ready.
