Raw papaya (chopped into cubes)
Mustard oil
Green chillies
Salt as per taste
Dry red chillies
Cooking oil
Bay leaf
Fennel seeds (Saunf)
Cumin seeds (Jeera)
Kalonji (Onion Nigella Seeds)
Mustard seeds
Methi Seeds (Fenugreek Seeds)


Step By Step Method

  • Add the panch-phoran in the mixer grinder and make a dry paste. (Don't add water)
    Heat the frying pan and use cooking oil. Once the oil is hot, add 1 bay leaf, dry red chillies, and the panch-phoran.
    Once the seeds splutter, add raw papaya and green chillies to the pan.
    Mix and cook until the papaya pieces are softened & cooked well.
    Cook till water evaporates.
    Serve it hot with steamed rice.
