The word "Khumb" in hindi stands for Mushroom. This is basically a Irani dish.


  1. Mushroom large-10nos.
  2. Processed cheese (grated)-30gm
  3. Salt/pepper-to taste
  4. Coriander leaves-chopped-10gm
  5. Green chili-5gm
  6. Ginger garlic paste-5gm
  7. Red chili paste-¼ tspn
  8. Roasted besan-20gm
  9. Cream-20ml
  10. Onion cubed-8pcs.
  11. Tomato cubed-8pcs
  12. Capsicum cubed-8pcs
  13. Garam masala-½tspn
  14. Oil-10ml

Step By Step Method

  • Step 1. Wash & remove the stems of mushrooms

    Step 2. In a bowl, mash processed cheese, add salt, pepper, coriander, and green chilli. Mix well. Stuff this cheese mixture into mushroom caps tightly & keep aside.

    Step 3. In a deep tray mix besan with all the remaining ingredients listed above.

    Step 4. Take a satay stick and skew mushrooms and vegetables alternately. 

    Step 5. Apply marinade on the skewed mushrooms, coat well and keep aside for atleast ½ hour.

    Step 6. Pre-heat the Air fryer at 180° C for four minutes. Lightly coat the fryer basket with oil.

    Step 7. Keep the mushrooms in the basket and lightly brush with oil. Air fry at 180° C for 7-8 minutes.
