A favourite of all and what better occasion to relish this sweet than during our favourite festival like Janmashtami.


Ingredients

2-3 cups of scraped coconut

1 cup of sugar

1- ½ cups of water

½ teaspoon of cardamom powder

2 tablespoons of milk

1 tablespoon of ghee

Step By Step Method

  • Take a heavy bottomed pan and dry roast the scraped coconut till it is not very wet with coconut milk. Keep this aside now. Now boil water in a saucepan and add sugar to it. Once it starts boiling, add the milk and dry roasted coconut to it. Keep stirring till the coconut becomes one with the mixture. It is time to add the ghee and cardamom powder now and further thicken it. Once thick, spread this mixture onto a plate greased with ghee and flatten it evenly. Cut them into even squares once it cools down. Your favourite dish is ready.
