Bel has a strong flavor which once you develop the taste for it smells really great. If you have never tried it I would suggest you to go ahead and try it. A very cool drink and very good for health too.



Ingredients required for Bel ka sharbat

  • Bel (Wood Apple) - 1
  • Sugar - 2-3 tbsp (This will depend on how ripe your bel is. Ripe bel needs very less sugar)
  • Water - 1 ltr.



Preparation Method:

  1. Break open the bel with your hand. Remove the hard crust covering from the top and scoop out the pulp with a spoon, from inside the fruit.
  2. Add water to the pulp and mash the mixture until the pulp dissolves completely. You can use a hand blender / mixture fot the same.
  3. After the pulp has completely dissolved, strain the mixture through a seive. Add sugar and water. Mix well to dissolve the sugar.
  4. Bel ka Sharbat tastes best when chilled. Serve it with crushed ice.
